3-day excursion to the Merzouga desert ending in Fez

We leave Marrakech behind and begin an impressive tour of the Atlas, crossing the port of Tizi n'Tichka. We will make a stop at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the setting for films such as Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. We continue to Ouarzazate, where the Kasbah of Taourirt will leave us breathless. As the afternoon falls, we follow the Highway of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Valley, where we will spend the first night surrounded by unique landscapes.

At dawn, we explore the majestic Todra Gorges, enjoying its panoramic views. We continue towards Merzouga, crossing the Jorf Palm Grove, famous for its dates, and making a stop in Erfoud, known for its fossils. Upon arriving in Merzouga, we change vehicles and enter the desert on a camel (or/or on a quad, if you prefer). As night fell, we enjoyed a Moroccan dinner under the stars at the Erg Chebbi camp, living a unique and unforgettable experience.

We start the day with a spectacular sunrise in the desert, where the sun dyes the dunes reddish tones. After a leisurely breakfast in the camp, we head towards Fez, passing through Tafilalet and Rissani, cradle of the Alawite dynasty. We continue the trip until we reach the monkey forest in Azrou and Ifrane, where we will have the opportunity to interact with these friendly primates. Finally, we arrive in Fez around 6:00 p.m., where we conclude this day full of unforgettable memories.
