8-Day Private Tour through Morocco

Leaving Marrakech behind, we will take the highway until we reach Casablanca, where we will visit the spectacular Hassan II Mosque. We will continue to Rabat, capital of Morocco, where we will visit Méchouar (the ramps and walls that surround the Royal Palace), the Kasbah of Oudayas and the magnificent mausoleum of Mohamed V and Hassan II. We will spend the night in Rabat.

After breakfast we will go to Meknes, where you can visit luxurious palaces and beautiful mosques as well as one of the most important souks in Morocco. We will continue the route arriving at the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a complex declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will spend the night in Fez.

The third day was dedicated entirely to getting to know Fez with a local guide. Fez is the oldest imperial city in Morocco. We will spend the night in Fez.

Leaving Fez behind, we will head south through Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco) and through the cedar forests of Azrou, seeing the monkeys that live there. We will cross the Ziz Valley and its gorges and pass through towns like Midelt or Erfoud. From Erfoud we will take a desert road until we reach Merzouga, where we will sleep in a hotel near the dunes.

The fifth day will be dedicated entirely to enjoying the desert. We will cross the dunes in the 4X4, visit nomadic villages, see oases and ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will visit the famous village of Khamlia and enjoy its folk music. At sunset we will take camels that will take us to the Berber camp in the heart of the dunes, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

After enjoying the sunrise in the desert, we will take the camels again to return to the hotel, where we will have breakfast and take a shower (depending on the type of camp, breakfast and shower may be before the camel ride). Leaving Merzouga behind, we will head towards the Todra Gorges, crossing Berber villages. Finally we will arrive at the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night.

After a good breakfast, we will enter the Dades Gorges and then take the "Thousand Kasbahs" road passing through the Roses Valley where you will have free time to get to know the area. Arriving at the palm grove of Skoura we will visit the Kasbah of Amridhyl and once in Ouarzazate, the Kasbah of Taourirt. We will spend the night in Ouarzazate.

On the last day we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the most famous in Morocco, and we will continue north through the Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n'Tichka pass, 2,260 meters high. We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.
